Just for kicks, let’s say the zombie apocalypse is upon us (… it’s not… at least we don’t think it is…). What would you want in the way of protection? Weapons? Certainly. Chuck Norris? Perhaps. And, don’t forget the Hyundai Elantra.
Yes, the Elantra! Author Robert Kirkman of comic book series “The Walking Dead” fame, has teamed up with Hyundai to turn an 2013 Elantra Coupe into a Zombie Survival Machine. The armored contraption sports a “zombie plow” to complete its distinctly “Mad Max” appearance. If you want an up-close look at tricked out Elantra, head to San Diego where Hyundai will unveil its unique concept car at the 2012 Comic Con later this month. In the meantime, check out this video to hear Kirkman talk about the planning that went into the car, and how long he thinks he’d last in a zombie apocalypse.
