Hyundai Defers Loan, Lease Payments for Furloughed Government Workers

AssuranceFederal employees affected by the government shutdown have one less bill to worry about if they financed their Hyundai through Hyundai Finance America.  The Korean auto maker yesterday announced it would extend its Hyundai Assurance Program by allowing furloughed government workers to defer their auto loan or lease payments for as long as the shutdown continues.  In addition, federal employees who buy a Hyundai this month will be offered a 90-day payment deferral.  “We recognize the impact on family budgets that the furlough will drive,” said John Krafcik, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor America. “Like we did almost four years ago when we launched Hyundai Assurance, this is our way of saying ‘We’ve got your back’ during this uncertain time.”  For more information on Hyundai Assurance visit
