Different people want different things from their vehicles. Some have the need for speed, some value MPG above all else, and some folks want a car that’s sure to turn heads. Yet at the end of the day, these three hypothetical, very different car shoppers would likely all agree on one thing: they want the vehicle that gives them the most bang for their buck.
So when the Greater Atlanta Automotive Media Association (GAAMA) named the Hyundai Elantra the winner of the Biggest Bang for the Buck Award at the 34th-annual Atlanta International Auto Show, we couldn’t help but get excited. The redesigned Elantra is one of our favorite vehicles on the road, and for its price, it comfortably leapfrogs the competition.
Eileen Falkenberg-Hull, a GAAMA Jury Member and automotive journalist, perhaps best summarized the 2017 Elantra’s winning value proposition:
“The all-new 2017 Hyundai Elantra convinced the GAAMA Auto Show jurors as the most deserving vehicle for the Biggest Bang for the Buck Award for its overall value that includes segment-first features, class-leading safety technologies and improved efficiency. The new Elantra is a major leap forward from its predecessor, yet is priced $100 less, helping Elantra come out on top.”
Superbowl ads, test drives, reviews, and blogs like this one all speak to the Elantra’s appeal, but its recent GAAMA award victory spells out the reasons to get behind the wheel of a Hyundai in a way nothing else could: members of the GAAMA jury surveyed the over-400 vehicles assembled in Atlanta, and they crowned the Elantra the best value of them all.
When you release a feature-packed, beautifully redesigned car that starts $100 less than the award-winning car it replaces, awards like this come with the territory.
