Welcome to another edition of Testimonial Tuesday. Today we’re introducing you to Tiffany. She’s stoked to be driving back to Klamath Falls in her sporty 2015 Silver Hyundai Elantra. We always like to get a little backstory on how customers come through our doors and hers was quite a tale.
Tiffany was rear-ended at school earlier this year and suffered a minor concussion. Not to mention her car was totaled. So, her grandparents, Bill and Glenda, stepped up to help her find a safe, reliable and affordable vehicle. Enter: the 2015 Hyundai Elantra. It just took home one of the Insurance Institutes for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Picks for 2015.**
“Butler Hyundai was just really helpful and friendly, laid back, relaxed – no pressure,” remarked Bill. “Plus Frank was really great.”
They found this little gem online at butlerhyundai.com, called us, connected with Frank Liva and within a week got their granddaughter into a stunning, safe vehicle with an affordable lease and incredible warranty.
“We were also really impressed by the 20 year, 200,000 mile warranty,” said Tiffany. “You can’t beat that!”
We wish you all the best Tiffany! These are the the kind of stories that make us do what we do – finding the right vehicle at the right time for right person and seeing that smile on their smile. Take a look at that smile! It’s called the “new car smile” (and goes hand in hand with that coveted “new car smell”.) Happy #TestimonialTuesday everyone!
**To qualify for 2015 TOP SAFETY PICK, a vehicle must earn good ratings in the moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests, as well as a good or acceptable rating in the small overlap front test.
Hyundai’s hydrogen powered, zero-emissions vehicle, the Tucson Fuel Cell, earned a Silver Edison Award in Energy and Sustainability at the Edison Awards Gala in April. This prestigious award named after Thomas Edison – honors excellence in innovation in the development of new products and services.
“For over 15 years Hyundai has worked on the development of fuel cell vehicles, with the goal of being a zero-emissions vehicle with no compromise”, said Mike O’Brien, Vice President Corporate and Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “Receiving this honor from a prestigious program like the Edison Awards is a reflection of the visionary leadership and hard work from some of the best engineers and designers in the industry.”
According to the Edison Awards, the recognition has become one of the highest accolades a company can receive in the name of innovation and business. “Our judges recognized our winners as true innovators,” said Frank Bonafilia, executive director of the Edison Awards.
So who judges these Edison awards? Who decides which vehicles make the cut? The ballot of nominees for the Edison Awards are judged by a panel of more than 3,000 leading business executives including past award winners, academics and leaders in the fields of product development, design, engineering, science and medical. And YES — the Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell won a silver, from these prestigious judges making the importance of this award even greater!
The Silver Edison Award is another feather in the cap of awards the Tucson Fuel Cell has earned since the zero-emission vehicle entered the U.S. market last summer.

Fantastic Father Friday happens every Friday at the Butler Family of Dealerships. Last Friday, May 1st, we highlighted Devin Cole, Business Manager at Butler Hyundai. Well this week it’s Devin again and in a minute you’ll understand why.
It all started at our Annual Manager’s Dinner last month. Linda Butler, co-owner of the Butler Family of Dealerships, put a lot of thought into the funky socks she purchased for each of our managers. She wanted to make sure each pair matched their unique personalities and served as a thank you for their hard work throughout the past year.
Roll forward to a subsequent manager’s meeting on Friday morning where the team set up a competition to see who had the funkiest socks. Everyone came dressed in their usual attire of slacks and dress shirts except for their “wild and crazy” socks.
Suddenly, Devin disappeared and returned dressed like this. After the initial shock, everyone was hysterical with laugher. Needless to say Devin definitely understood the magnitude of the competition and won hands down! This fun tidbit provides a glimpse into the enthusiasm, passion and FUN our employees have for their jobs.
We have to wonder – what will be next? Up, up and away!!
